Commissions

Hi! Welcome to my Commission page…

I believe we have stories that live in our heart and soul.

The memory of an incredible travel, honouring a special person, a loved pet, an old photo, a transformative moment, are all waiting for an opportunity to be expressed.

Commissioned art offers you the gift of capturing your story on canvas.

The magic of original artwork has the power to bring beauty, colour and joy into your life.

Here’s how it works…

Go to the contact form at the bottom of this page and fill out the form to start a commission.

I will respond to your request within 24 – 48 hours, answer any questions you may have and schedule a phone call.

We begin with your thoughts, ideas and what you envision. This is where we explore concepts and where I can help you. We will talk about the subject, composition, size of the canvas, colors, background, and/or combining people and animals from different photos into one piece of art.

The next step you will be asked to provide reference photos that will help capture the story.

From good quality photos I will be able to provide you with the cost of the oil painting. Generally speaking, commission artwork is based on the complexity of the subject(s) and the size of the canvas.

From there I will draft a simple chalk sketch of your composition. Once you approve you’ll be asked to send an initial installment payment.

From the time I start your oil painting, please allow 3 months for its completion and drying time.

All artwork is ready to hang, and comes professionally packaged with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Creatively Yours,

— Agnes Jorgensen
